How
much money will I earn? Your
success in the medical vending business will be related to your
diligence and creativity. It
is a business that requires concentrated initial effort but once you
have established a route can be good as machines work for you 24/7.
No one can tell you how much you will earn because each location
is different in terms of traffic flow and consumer needs so be willing
to move machines if a location isn’t working after a few months.
When seeking locations consider traffic patterns, how long
consumers will be on site, likely consumer needs and so forth.
For instance, a beauty shop will not be as good as consumers are
only there for a short time while a bowling alley or bar may be better.
We believe industrial sites may be the best of all because the
same people are on site every day and it is possible to collect a
monthly service fee from such sites in addition to machine revenues.
What
about a locator? It is
likely that you can do as good or a better job than a locator and you
don’t have anything to lose by giving it a try.
You’ll save money and establish a good relationship with
employees on site at the same time.
If you do use a locator be sure that they don’t require payment
up front but rather after the job is done.
If a locator insists on up front payment use a credit card.
Get something in writing as to what they will do for you so if
they don’t perform accordingly you can protest the charge on your
credit card. It is likely
your credit card company will back charge the locator’s fee if this is
the case. We have only
found one locator who will accept a credit card.
Locators do not locate machines on industrial sites so it is
always something you will have to do for yourself.
How
many machines should you buy? If
you don’t have locations lined up we suggest that you start with a
small order to be sure you will like the business.
Of course, we welcome and discount larger orders.
The
best locations won’t make any difference if you end up with machines
that eat up your profits in the time and expense involved with repeated
service work due to unreliable dispensing mechanisms and poor
construction. Even though
these machines may cost less than Fast-Aid Centers they will always end
up costing more:
“I
am writing to you at this time to let you know that it was a relief to
find your company and its
products.
I recently began to build a health products vending business and
I had purchased a number of machines (22 total) from a competitor.
These were the coil-type machines and I had very little trouble
placing them but the hard work was to come.”
“The
trouble began after placement. These
types of machines required an enormous amount of service attention and I
was ready to abandon my project. I had come across your firm after a more detailed search of
the business and I must say that I am more than pleased.
As you know I have placed a half dozen of your merchandisers on
locations and they perform well. We
will continue to replace our old units and add locations.
I have found that once you study the owner’s manual, set up and
test the machine before placement it works very efficiently.
Even though we must use the sleeve system this extra effort is
nothing compared to the service calls that happened repeatedly with the
coil type machine. We have experienced less than once percent of missed
vends with your merchandiser. I
would recommend your machine to anyone who is considering this type of
business.”

We
recommend that you explore other parts of our site especially
“Competitors”, “Vend Operators”, and “Workplace OTCs”.
The Series I-6 is the machine most frequently purchased for
medical vending routes with the Series I-4 next in line.
We also suggest you review the Feminine Care machine as it makes
sense to see if there are other needs on site that you can fill and thus
create more revenue
Please
contact us with any questions or comments.
Once you have purchased a Fast-Aid Center we are available via
e-mail to offer further ideas on placement of machines on commercial or
industrial locations.
